Here's a youtube video that shows more of what can be made with this software:

In another video, the presenter talks about it as a tool for teaching children at an early age about programming constructs:

I think the real solution is to not have a numerical vote for the readers at all. Comments are far more useful and you can ignore the senseless ones. The aggregate of professional reviews generally does a good enough job of predicting the public's perception of a game.

The fact that the current "user score" is prominently featured and only slightly smaller in size than the reviewer score gives it a false air of authority that a Casual Carl might not be willing to inves...

"Now if ONLY there was some sort of verification process for proving u actually tried the game"

Proof is too difficult. I would start with an IQ test and a grammar quiz. Maybe even a blood-to-Cheetos index.

Hmm, perhaps I should schedule a meeting with the mods at N4G as well...

That's a valid point. Perhaps when I think of gaming, I look at it from a broader perspective, including the industry and emerging technologies that inform it. For instance, the "photosynth" software that's been around for a while now takes any and all images that are found on the internet or other databases and finds patterns and overlaps in order to create scalable 3 dimensional maps of the world and its objects.

I literally believe that people who don't know how to use the word "literally" correctly should literally choke on a bag full of weak brain sauce.

:)

glad to hear the game doesn't literally suck, though!

i've listened to three quarters of it so far. Still loading in spurts. In any case, the reviewer is very disappointed for most of it. Mainly saying the same thing we've been hearing from most sites today: repetitive or boring gameplay. Can't see this review score amounting to more than a 7 or so either.

Will check it out for myself, but when so many reviewers say the same thing about the game, it starts to seem like less of an issue of taste and more of a consensus within the ...

thank god somebody here still has a sense of humor. I realize the irony of me posting this but, I kinda wish that first comment was the only one on this thread. Bubbles for the wit and the quick draw, sjappie!

BC was hands down my favorite NES game when I was a kid.

I feel like every time I'm smoking a bowl while playing a video game, I'll turn to a friend and say, "You know what they need to bring back?... Bionic Commando, muthafu<ker!" It's usually followed by a "fu<k yeah, b!tch!" and a highfive or some poorly executed fist pound, but occasionally some a$$hole says, "nah, Rygar is where it's at."
WTF, right?

Man, all I'm s...

Hocking isn't making the simple argument that the game is "overrated" (that's more on par with the criticisms made by the illiterate trolls on this website). He believes that the game betrays the player by crafting a story that hinges on self determination, yet only gives him the mere illusion of choice, when all is said and done. The Newsweek author agrees on this point, adding:

"[A]nother criticism I'd make of is BioShock that while it gave me a great deal of m...

"lair is not barbie games" ...judging from your profile pic, I can tell you would never entertain the idea of playing a game where you control a blonde chick.

I've got nothing against lair, you just can't set yourself up like that, dude. All in good fun!

other sources claim it will be there, and a handfull are saying they don't see it on the announcements they've received from Konami. My guess is that it will be there.

I don't know man, I networked 8 360's with 8 video projectors at my studio this past weekend. Lots of people came over and played Gears and I don't remember anyone not liking it. Even the girls were going at it. I had to kick people out at 6 in the morning. I think that qualifies as pretty special.

To #1: 5 of my friends have bought a 360 after playing gears at my house. I'm sure alot of other people have had the same experience. Not many games ever end up doing that. Especiall...

His friends get him a console as a gift and he feels compelled to sh!t all over it in an interview? They must be thinking, "wow, Cory is an ungrateful sack of busted a$$." Sure, he's entitled to his opinion, but I think we can all agree that this guy has maxed out his douchebag meter by trash talking a gift his friends got him... and I've never even played the nintendo wii. Bad form, Cory. Bad form.
